Warren LeightWarren Leight is currently executive producer and showrunner of Lights Out for FX. He was formerly the executive producer and showrunner of HBO's In Treatment and Dick Wolf's Law and Order: Criminal Intent. Three of his episodes were nominated for Edgar Awards for Best One Hour Mystery.
His play Side Man won the 1999 Tony Award for Best Play, and was a 1999 Pulitzer Prize Finalist. Other plays include No Foreigners Beyond This Point (Drama Desk Nomination), the book to the musical Mayor, (Drama Desk Nomination) Fame Takes a Holiday, and Glimmer, Glimmer and Shine. He also wrote and directed The Night We Never Met, co-wrote the documentary Before the Nickelodeon (featured in the New York Film Festival) and has authored many screenplays including Dear God.
Warren is a former President of The Writer’s Guild of America, East, and a currently on the Dramatists’ Guild Council. In 2006, he was honored with the Richard B. Jablow Award for devoted service to the WGA, East.
Warren was raised in New York City. He is a graduate of Stanford University.
