NBC Universal “Writers on the Verge” Initiative — Applications Accepted Starting May 26: NBC Universal “Writers on the Verge” initiative, a great pipeline for diverse and inclusive writers, is a 12-week program focused on polishing and preparing writers for staff writer positions on television shows. Ideal participants are writers who are “almost there” but need that final bit of preparation with their writing and personal presentation skills. Writers of diverse backgrounds are particularly encouraged to apply. Writing assignments on an NBC television show may be available after successful completion of the program, but are not guaranteed. This year’s submission dates are May 26-June 30 (3:00 PM PST deadline)
