About “Telling Our Stories”
The WGAE Foundation and the Washington Baltimore Newspaper Guild (WBNG) joined forces to assist staff members of the Baltimore Sun who were affected by cutbacks. The two organizations provided multiple fellowships to employees following a difficult year in newspaper industry layoffs.
The Baltimore Sun Fellows were asked to contribute stories to a collective fellowship website project titled Telling our Stories: The Days of The Baltimore Sun. Contributions include all forms of storytelling -- essays, short stories, poems, blogs, photo essays and illustrations -- and tell of the Fellow’s personal experiences during their time at The Baltimore Sun.
Established by a grant from an anonymous donor, the WGAE Foundation/WBNG Fellows are Steve Auerweck, Paul Bendel-Simso, Danielle R. Bradley, Phyllis K. Brill, Joseph DeCarlo, Tyeesha L.
